It’s been a month! This month has been crazy busy outside of hobbies for me, so I haven’t made much progress on my projects. I stalled out on painting the Kharadron dwarves, I’ll come back to them at some point.

Beyond that, my partner and I have decided to try and play a tabletop game of some kind every weekend. We’ve kept up with that pretty well this month! We’ve been playing 1000 point games of Warhammer 40k, my Dark Angels vs. the forces of the Tyranids. Also, our cats decided to join in. To supervise, of course.
Beyond that, I also purchased a few lego kits that I put together immediately, the F1 Academy Lego race car in large and small versions, and of course, the Williams F1 car. The racing season has been very interesting this year, and not just because of the state of the world. For that fandom, I decided to get some shelf decoration!
I am getting the new Custodes battleforce box for the Horus Heresy tabletop wargame, and I don’t want to have to buy more space marines for it just to get the starter materials. So, I printed out some good old fashioned Blast and Flamer templates! They came out pretty good if I do say so myself.

And lastly on the “this is stuff I made/worked on/built this month” front, The new edition of Warhammer 40,000 is coming out this year! Have you heard the good news? Anyway, for this edition, I wanted to depart from my Dark Angels, just for a change of pace, really. I have had about 750 points of Imperial Guard odds and ends sitting in my hobby room for the past year or two, and decided I’d try to get that list rolling for real this time. I put together a Leman Russ tank I had traded for over a year ago, and also a new one that I bought probably about that long ago as well.
This guard force is designed for the new Battleforce box to slot right in, the new Guard vehicles are sooo cool! I have some really fun ideas about how I’m going to paint up these different units, considering my guard is based on the Lion’s Protectorate force from the book The Lion: Son of the Forest by Mike Brooks. It’s about the Dark Angels, but more importantly, it’s about Lion El’Jonson, Primarch of the Dark Angels, carving out a Protectorate in the Chaos-infested space on the far side of the Great Rift. So the units in my army will be different paint schemes, and maybe a bit broken down depending on if I want to try to do weathering. A ragtag force standing against the enemies of the Imperium. At any rate! I built some tanks!
Wow, looking back, I realize I did a lot more hobbying than I thought I had this last month! Well that’s good. And I didn’t even babble on about the Adepticon reveals and how excited I am for Cogforts and Warhammer 40k 11th edition! Maybe I’ll make a post about that when it gets closer to release. All right. I’m done typing here, don’t let the daemons win, y’all.
